In the first year, you can sow the seeds in the top of the birdhouse, but at the end of summer when the last flower has faded, you can clean it out, pop on the lid and place the nesting box in a suitable place in readiness for a young family to move in! Growing instructions: Place the peat-free compost pellets in a suitable mixing container and add 200ml of lukewarm water. Allow to stand and expand for 30-60 minutes, drain off any access water and mix compost well. You may have more compost than you require and more water could be required if the mix is looking dry.Prior to sowing, soak the seeds in water for 24 hours to aid germination. Fill 80% of the planter roof with compost, scatter seeds evenly on the surface, cover with a very thin layer of compost and moisten. Place the planter on a wall outdoors, in a sunny frost-free position. Please use suitable wall fixings for your wall type (wall fixing not included). The planter is also suitable as a bird box. The compost must be kept moist at all times. seeds will germinate after approx 3-4 weeks from sowing. Remove dead flowers regularly. After purchase store in a cool and dry place.
