The leaves are very aromatic and are said to be able to help aid digestion and bee stings, but they also can be used to flavour meat dishes, marinades and stuffing. Its also a pretty plant, so is ideal for patio pots or front of border positions. Garden care: Grow in a warm, sheltered spot in relatively poor soils and keep pinching back the tips to encourage new growth.
