A bushy perennial with white pink-flushed flowers. Position: full sun to partial shade Soil: fertile, well-drained soil Rate of growth: average Hardiness: frost hardy (may need winter protection) ‘The Bride’ is a graceful, long-flowering perennial with star-shaped blooms that emerge in early summer and persist until the first stages of autumn. Its wild, slightly unkempt look suits natural planting styles. Once established, it is well suited to warm summers and will soak up the sun. Growing instructions: Sow indoors from Jan-April 0.5cm deep in trays or pots filled with seed compost. Water well and place on a warm windowsill/greenhouse and keep moist at 15-20°C (60-68°F). Once germination occurs (after 14-28 days) and seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 9cm pots. Acclimatise before planting outside between May and September, after risk of frost has passed. Alternatively, sow outdoors in a seedbed from May to July to flower the following year.
