Position: full sun Soil: humus-rich, moisture-retentive soil Rate of growth: average Hardiness: tender A vigorous F1 hybrid, ‘Hana’ is a heavy cropping variety with high-quality, short, seedless fruits – perfect for lunch boxes and dipping in humous! Smooth, dark skin, with a good flavour, this ‘all-female’ type is reliable either in the greenhouse or in a sheltered spot outdoors. Care instructions: Can be grown in a heated greenhouse or, after all threat of frost has passed, harden off carefully and plant into the final growing site allowing 60cm between plants. Protect young plants against slugs. Don’t plant too deep, as this encourages stem rot: the top of the rootball should sit at the same level as the surface of the soil.
