Position: full sun or partial shade Soil: fertile, moist, but well-drained soil Rate of growth: slow to average Flowering period: July to August Hardiness: hardy annual A quick growing, aromatic annual that is widely used in Middle Eastern, Mediterranean or Indian cooking. All parts of the plant are edible, but it is primarily grown for the fresh leaves and dried seeds. It’s a delicious herb which is well worth growing. Keep in a pot or plant in a border and enjoy fresh herb all summer. Garden care: The plants can quickly run to flower if they are not kept watered and if it goes to seed it becomes very straggly.
