Lord Lambourne is a traditional English dessert apple variety which produces good, regular crops of aromatic fruits that ripen in September. Its round fruits are well-balanced between sweet and dry with a hint of tartness, and have crispy yet juicy creamy white flesh. The fruits have a green-yellow colour with significant red flushes and touches of russet speckles, making them very attractive and pleasant in appearance. The fruits can be stored in cold, dry places until November. ‘Lord Lambourne’ has been awarded the Award of Garden Merit given by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), which helps gardeners make informed choices about plants.
