Japanese plum with candy like flavour and blood red flesh
This Japanese plum flowers in spring, and occasionally in late winter, too, and this blossom is followed by red-purple fruit with a sweet, juicy taste, and dark red flesh. These can be eaten straight from the tree but also cook well. The tree itself is a heavy and reliable cropper, and thus the branches may need extra support to avoiding breaking under the weight of the fruit.
Please note as a Japanese plum, this variety is unable to pollinate other plums.
