Fargesia robusta ‘Campbell’ is a much sought after clumping bamboo originating from far east Asia. It’s popularity derives from it ability to offer good screening with up to 4m of evergreen, upright growth, without spreading which can be a problem when up against a neighbour.

Aside from this, ‘Campbell’ is a beautiful bamboo in it’s own right. It boasts lush, bright green, dense foliage set against dull green canes which emerge a more vivid shade when young.

This particular Fargesia is one of the most versatile, it will thrive in full sun but doesn’t mind shade and will be perfectly happy exposed to wind and drier conditions. It makes an excellent hedge, feature plant or you can even grow in a pot if that suits you better.
